Radish Kaleidoscope Mix
Bunches of round purple, red, pink, yellow, white, and bi-color radishes make everyone smile - a kaleidoscope of colors, perfect for a child's garden! Each root averages 1 inch in diameter and remains crisp and mild over a long period of harvesting.
Radishes become 'hotter' when grown in warm weather. Grow in the cool seasons for mild roots. To keep roots from splitting, do not over fertilize and keep the soil evenly moist.
Planting time - as soon as the ground can be worked in spring.
Matures in - 25-30 days
Germinates in - 10-20 days depending on the soil and weather conditions.
Sowing Depth - 1/8 inch
Seed spacing - 1 inch
Thinning - final spacing should be 3 inches apart to allow roots to mature. If you need to thin, be aware that the stem and first leaves may imitate the color of the root; purple roots may have brownish stems, yellow roots may have pale leaves. If you think the 'odd colors' you may only have red radishes to harvest.
