Squash - Buttercup
A small winter squash of extra fine flavor and thick dry flesh. Squash is turban shaped with a button on the blossom end and is almost completely filled with deep orange flesh. Fruits weigh about 3 1/2 lbs. and are an excellent keeper as well as a good kind for canning.
Allow the fruits to remain on the vine until fully matured. Gather before frost, leaving part of the stem attached to the fruit. Handle carefully and store in a moderately warm, dry place during the winter.
